About
Queer, feminist, and postcolonial gestures inspire my curatorial practice, which focuses on collaboration and inclusivity by striving to create space for connections between QBIPOC artists in different stages of their careers. My experience has been built through independent projects and work within art institutions such as museums, artist-run centres, and universities in Montreal and Toronto.
Since the beginning, collaborative aspects have manifested through the co-curation of exhibitions (Femynynytees at Arts Visuels Émergents Gallery and Miss(x)ed Communications at the HTMLles Festival, 2018), and an open preference for group shows and collective curatorial events. I view group exhibitions as an opportunity to queer and enrich a curatorial thesis by multiplying the artist voices that co-construct it.
In 2021, I concluded a Ph.D in Communication Studies at the Université de Montréal. After moving to Toronto in 2021, I worked as an Assistant Curator of Canadian Art at the Art Gallery of Ontario and as the Head of Cultural Affairs of Ireland in Canada. I am currently curating the exhibition From here, there, everywhere at Nuit Blanche Toronto 2025.
My writing has been published in art magazines such as Esse and Border Crossings (2018-2024); in the e-book Imagining Futures of Experimental Media (2021); and in cultural websites like the Montreal-based Baron Mag, where I had the monthly exhibition review column L’art au rendez-vous (2018-2019).
