This residency, promoted by the art magazine Esse in partnership with the research platform Érudit, will be the continuation of my research about political and socially-engaged art practices that are inspired by decolonial and queer joy as a form of resistance.

Verein K brings together different experts in the arts and industry inVisiting Curators Vienna. This residency aims to make a lasting contribution to Vienna as an art and cultural location by providing the Viennese scene and the curators with experience and contacts for future activities, thereby underlining Vienna‘s international perception as an important center of contemporary art is further strengthened.

March to November, 2020
During the 2020 Duologies programming year at Dare-Dare, our resident Renata Azevedo Moreira brings a fresh perspective on the works each one of the duos is producing. This does not mean she will present to the audience the results of what they achieved during the year, but rather talk about the evolutionary development of their artworks.
